Wonzimer Gallery is pleased to announce a vital group exhibition, "Mimesis" bringing together a powerful and diverse roster of contemporary painters who utilize the human figure as a primary vessel for expression.

The exhibition celebrates the enduring relevance of the figure in contemporary art by shifting focus from external representation to internal, personal mythology. Each featured artist approaches the human subject through a distinct visual language and unique background, resulting in a complex dialogue of individuality. Their commitment lies in capturing not just the form, but the psychological depth and expressive potential unlocked by their respective histories and imaginations.

Rather than prioritizing external accuracy, the exhibition celebrates the "Internal Mythology" of the subject. Each artist brings a distinct visual vocabulary shaped by their unique cultural and personal histories, resulting in a complex dialogue on individuality. The works on display move beyond the surface, capturing the expressive potential unlocked when the imagination meets the anatomy.
