Brian Randolph is an artist and musician living in Los Angeles CA since the early 2000’s. Their visual art is focused on abstraction in drawing and painting, often creating symmetrical, iconographic works evoking visionary states of consciousness and the inner world. Preferring a meticulous approach requiring sustained concentration, Randolph creates precise, process oriented works led by their own structural logic.
Born 1979 in Canton CT / received a BFA in general fine arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2001. Previous solo shows include ‘The Singers’ at Alto Beta in 2025 (Los Angeles), ‘The Septum’ in 2020 and ‘The Symmetry of Separation’ in 2018 both at Odd Ark (Los Angeles), and ‘Plans’ at Gallery 4 (Baltimore) in 2009 . Their work has been included in group exhibitions Eleanor Harwood Gallery (San Francisco), Wonzimer (Los Angeles), Torrance Art Museum (Torrance), Ms. Barber’s (Los Angeles), and BBQLA (Los Angeles) among many others. They were a visiting artist with Syracuse University’s residency program in San Pedro, California. Brian’s work is included in the collection of Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
