Eddie Jelinet's artistic career began at the early age of 10 when he was commissioned to paint his first mural at Netzahualcoyotl elementary school in Mexico. Months later, he was granted a scholarship to attend Casa de Cultura in Baja California where he participated in artistic local events and won several awards along with the recognition of the community. Later on he began his studies in painting and art history at Cultural Institute of Mexicali Baja California, Mexico. Eddie now lives in Long Beach, California where he continues his artistic career.
On his new series of paintings titled "Allegory of the Body and Soul", the artist presents a unique approach in his technique, featuring an impressionistic use of different mediums. His bright gold background and coloring each individual characters in festive colors, perhaps to accentuate the character of each individual. The serenity of his various portraits and religious images is combined with unparalleled, poetic attention and detail, both of their meaning and exquisite portrayals.

Los angeles inspires Eddie to paint and is a perfect surrounding for him to evolve. At 32of age Eddie Jelinet has had successful solo exhibits at 117 Studio Gallery, J.F. Estravides Gallery, Sipology Gallery Long Beach Ca. Luna Corona Ca. Antebellum Gallery,Trunk Gallery, Moda Hollywood has participated in group exhibits such as Encore at the Braley, Nuestro LA,The Expo Gallery, Studio Tour at Brand Library, Estrellas por la Vida St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Tom of Finland Erotic Art Fair,The Acuarium of the Pacific, Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Fundation in NY City, Mantov'ART in Montova Italy, Carrousel Du Louvre in Paris France and many other events around Los Angeles California. He is currently working on His new project a series of short films called "American Pop Culture"
